Global Formula Racing (2014-2017) #
Global Formula Racing (GFR) is Oregon State University’s Formula SAE team. Formula SAE is an international collegiate student design competition. Students design, build and test formula-style racecars to compete at events around the world. In partnership with DHBW Ravenburg in Friedrichshafen, Germany, GFR builds both a combustion (Corvallis, OR) and electric (Friedrichshafen, GER) race car every year.
I was involved with the team for 3 years, eventually serving as aerodynamics lead in 2016 & 2017. This entailed responsibility for leading a team of 5 in the design, manufacturing and testing of our cars’ aerodynamics package.
